New 2015 import release featuring a radio broadcast of Johnny Winter performing live in San Diego in 1974. Limited edition RED double vinyl LP in a Gatefold package - only 500 copies. Johnny's live performance in San Diego 1974, captures the legend at the start of a transitional phase in his career. With his roots in blues rock, Johnny spent much of the early seventies performing rock and roll tracks. By '74, Winter is still primarily a rocker, but his recordings start to take on a bluesier feel, going back to the music that started his career. As this show was broadcast across the airwaves by KBFH FM San Diego the sound is near perfect and this mixed with the blistering performance on offer makes for one of the finest live Johnny Winter recordings available.
